Happy Birthday to me!! Yes I am 21 again for the 10th time. This was my fry up that Miriam lovingly prepared for me. Having a fantastic time still and looking forward to food and beers tonight. I’m sure you had all remembered and have sent my cards to my home address, but emails will do (thanks to all of you who did, much appreciated) Well here are some of the piccies from our past few weeks. Hi All. Yes this is the sort of views we have to put up with from our New Zealand campsites! Shame there is no Spinnaker Tower! This was taken five minutes from our pitch on an empty sandy beach. Life is hard!
We went on a boat trip to see Sperm whales and also, as a bonus, saw a pod of about 200 Dusky dolphins. We watched them for about 20 minutes as they froliced around the boat and jumped out of the water. It was like a well rehearsed routine.
On our whale watching trip the highlight was the whales. We saw 2 of the 17m sperm whale. They surfaced for about 15mins, they didn’t do much except spert water in to the air in 3 metres jets, but when the dived down to return to hunting we could see their amazing tail as it came out of the water- magical!
We are now in Taupo in the north island and we have been to visit some of the geothermal sites in the area. Some of these take the form of muddy spiting pools, giant geysers but this one had all of these and beautifully coloured pools like the one in the picture above.

I realise that it must be hard for you while we are all in the great UK enjoying our work and looking after our homes and gardens while you are having such a tough time. We think of you often and how you are having to suffer for the sake of action mans world tour. He will have a lot to answer for when he gets back.

hope you had a good day, although that is a rather silly question judging from all the lovely photos! glad to keep reading you’re all having an excellent time, can’t believe there’s only 3 or 4 months left now, although it also seems like you’ve been away for years..odd!
